Part 5/9:
As a heavy dark cloud of murder gathers, Miller craves something genuine amid the decay. He eventually finds himself at odds with the town’s moral compass when he must confront fear and betrayal head-on. The transient nature of morality plays out cruelly when Miller sees the line between heroism and villainy all too clearly. One moment of self-defense thrusts him into a realm of guilt where the innocent often become irrevocably stained by the blood of desperation.
