Part 2/15:
Located along the east China Sea in Hyan County, the Chinshan Nuclear Power Plant symbolizes China's journey towards energy self-reliance. Its construction began in 1985 and was completed in 1991, and it marks China's first independently developed nuclear project. Originally starting as a single reactor, the facility has since expanded to seven operational units, collectively providing an installed capacity of 4386 megawatts. This project demonstrates China's capability in nuclear technology and has laid a foundation for international nuclear cooperation.
