As the narrative unfolds, Harold becomes increasingly obsessed with the idea of being recognized through television. After a series of exhilarating yet chaotic stunts, he finally gets a gig on a local cable channel with his daredevil stunt spectacle. Yet, this moment of triumph draws upon the sacrifices he’s made, including the fading of friendships and the erosion of his romantic relationship. Although he envisions this opportunity as a launchpad to greater heights—perhaps even Hollywood—he quickly learns the harsh reality of localized fame.
