Despite their valiant efforts, the revolt culminated in a grueling 23-year war that led to catastrophic losses. The King’s forces decimated the Similian warriors, and although Dren fought valiantly, killing over a thousand of the King’s soldiers, he ultimately fell victim to capture and execution. As the axe approached him, Dren made a powerful declaration—a promise to his people that his spirit would return in a mighty warrior who would lead them to freedom in the fabled Holy Land, Promethea.
With Dren's sacrifice echoing in their hearts, the Similian people were left to wander the wilderness, deprived of their homeland and freedom.
