Holt’s Career Journey
Lester Holt's career has been marked by significant milestones. Prior to joining NBC, he worked for CBS for 19 years. His arrival at NBC began in 2000 when he became a substitute anchor for the Today Show and NBC Nightly News while also serving as the anchor for a two-hour newscast on MSNBC. Holt then co-anchored NBC's Weekend Today from 2003 to 2015 and helped shape Dateline starting in 2011.
His contributions to journalism have not gone unnoticed, as he has been recognized as the "most trusted television news personality in America" in polling conducted by The Hollywood Reporter and Morning Consult.
