Part 4/5:
This is not the first time that classified records from the Kennedy assassination have been made public. The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has been gradually releasing JFK-related materials since 1992, following the passage of the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act. This act was designed to unseal documents from the investigation and enhance public knowledge regarding the circumstances of JFK's murder. Under the current administration, the latest batch of records was released in 2023 following President Joe Biden's directive, continuing the long history of document disclosures related to this iconic event.
