NVIDIA's GTC 2025: Innovations in AI Hardware
The 2025 GPU Technology Conference (GTC) held in San Jose, California, marked a significant milestone for NVIDIA, as CEO Jensen Huang presented groundbreaking advancements in AI hardware. Among the standout announcements was the introduction of the Vera Rubin GPU, named in honor of the esteemed astronomer, which is set to launch in the second half of 2026. This GPU will boast an impressive 288 GB of memory and will be paired with a custom-designed CPU, the Vera CPU. This combination promises to offer substantial performance enhancements, particularly in AI training and inference tasks, eclipsing the capabilities of its predecessor, the Grace Blackwell series.
