The episode opens with Galadriel and Elrond deliberating on whom to take to Eregion. Notably, assumptions about the height of Galadriel's character come into question, as the actress playing her is noticeably shorter than the traditional depiction of the character as a tall, majestic figure. Their journey from Grey Havens to Eregion appears rushed, giving the impression that they arrive a considerable distance in merely one day.
Upon reaching a new bridge that's been created for the series, the disparity between the elves' diversity and their ancestry—stemming from only three clans—becomes evident. The addition of a path through northern territory rather than a direct route also highlights the tumultuous complications of the journey ahead.
