A unique aspect of coaching as a profession is the absence of the physical strain that players endure. While players may find their careers cut short due to physical limits, coaches can often extend their careers beyond what might be expected, largely because they serve as strategists rather than participants. However, this doesn’t shield them from scrutiny; over time, the quality and effectiveness of their work become the yardsticks for their continued employment.
As the industry evolves, so too does the need for adaptability and consistent success. Some managers might not receive consistent accolades or opportunities, simply because their recent efforts do not match the expectations of clubs seeking immediate results.
