The prosecutor had hinted at the possibility of homicídio culposo com agravo, a more serious charge, based on Garro's blood alcohol content. However, during the hearing, it was determined that Garro's blood alcohol level was 0.54, representing less than 1% and therefore insufficient for aggravating circumstances in the case.
Current Status of Garro
Garro left the hearing a free man, as the prosecution did not request any travel restrictions for him. This means that he is not required to stay in General Pico, the province where the incident occurred, nor in Argentina. Garro may return to Brazil and could even rejoin the Corinthians team, provided he signals a fixed residential address and his willingness to return to Argentina if needed as the case progresses.
