Throughout "Dragon Ball Super," the focus for both Goku and Vegeta shifts towards mastering higher-tier forms of power that they have worked diligently to achieve. Regular Super Saiyan forms, including Super Saiyan 1 and 2, were often adequate for combat against less formidable foes. Thus, there would be little need to tap into the Super Saiyan 3 transformation, especially given its notorious energy drain.
Even Goku, who has utilized Super Saiyan 3, rarely resorts to this form during "Dragon Ball Super." His use typically arises only in specific contexts, such as when testing the limits against powerful opponents or demonstrating the transformation's capabilities. Yet, for the most part, Goku showcased that higher forms, such as Super Saiyan God or Blue, were more efficient and effective.
