With Claudinho no longer in the picture, Palmeiras is now faced with the task of searching for alternative signings. Two names have emerged as potential candidates: Andreas Pereira, currently at Fulham, and Mateus Pereira from Cruzeiro. Their situations, however, present challenges since both clubs are reportedly unwilling to part with their players at this time.
Palmeiras has previously engaged in discussions with the clubs but has not made much headway in negotiations. Fulham, in particular, has been resistant to Palmeiras’ financial offers, which ranged from €18 million to €20 million. The club must now evaluate alternative strategies to reinforce their squad in the wake of the disappointing setback with Claudinho.
