Last year's performance for Santos was disappointing, to say the least. They struggled with their roster, barely assembling a viable team to compete in the Serie B. This season, however, the club is keen to forge a competitive side capable of navigating Serie A safely and striving for greater achievements. On the other hand, Palmeiras is in its first year under Abel Ferreira, navigating through a deliberate reform of its lineup. Although it has seen departures, the club's aim is to enhance its coherence in play through strategic recruitment.
