Both Morgoth and Sauron strategically chose to invest their energy into endeavors that promised greater longevity, all while steering clear of becoming frail and powerless as Saruman did.

Gandalf: The Chosen One with Restrictions

In contrast to Sauron and Morgoth, Gandalf, as one of the Istari, did not rebel against Eru Ilúvatar; thus, his energy was regularly replenished by the Creator. However, unlike a free-range sorcerer, Gandalf operated under strict limitations imposed by the Valar, aiming to foster unity among the free peoples of Middle-Earth against Sauron.
