The contentious contract was signed early last year under the administration of former Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim. It was part of a collective agreement with a group of nine clubs known as "Libra," which includes Flamengo alongside illustrious clubs such as Palmeiras, São Paulo, Santos, and Atlético Mineiro.
