Once your vegetables are softened and fragrant, pour in the sachet of tomato sauce. If you'd like a bit more liquid, this is the moment to add the optional 120ml of water. Stir in the freshly chopped coriander and paprika if you’ve chosen to use them. The seasoning gives the sauce that extra pop of flavor!
Now it's time to season the dish. Start by adding 2 teaspoons of salt. If you’re sensitive to salt, feel free to begin with 1 teaspoon and adjust according to your preferences later on.
Cooking the Sausages
Before moving to the next step, boil the sausages and then discard the water — this is an optional step, but it helps in ensuring that the sausages are fully cooked before absorption of all the delicious sauce flavors.
