Stone Lake, who dedicated 15 years of her career at Meta, shared her distressing experiences within the company. She recounted instances of sexual assault by a former boss and how her gender led to missed promotion opportunities. Stone Lake also revealed that her dismissal came after she vocally opposed incidents of racism related to the Horizon app, a virtual reality platform developed by the company. As a response to her negative experiences, she has initiated legal action against Meta for discrimination and harassment.
