Start by cleaning and preparing the tilapia fillets. Once they are ready, season the fish. A simple seasoning mix includes salt, pepper to taste, five cloves of crushed garlic, and the juice of half a lemon. Combine these ingredients thoroughly with the fish using clean hands. This mixture will marinate in the refrigerator while you prepare the remaining ingredients.

Peel and slice six medium-sized potatoes into thin rounds. Add a teaspoon of salt to boiling water, and cook the potatoes until they are just tender (al dente), as they will continue cooking in the oven later.
