Introduction
Wicked, directed by the talented John M. Chu, has finally made its cinematic debut, transitioning from a beloved Broadway musical to a much-anticipated movie event. The storyline revolves around the complicated friendship between two women from the Land of Oz: Elphaba, a misunderstood girl with green skin, and Glinda, a popular young woman. Their bond is tested after a fateful encounter with the legendary Wizard of Oz. In this review, I’ll share my impressions of the film, its creative direction, performances, and the overall viewing experience.
