One of the standout aspects of Wicked is its impressive visuals and artistic design, differing greatly from the expected heavy reliance on CGI often seen in modern films. The use of practical sets and real-life locations add depth and richness to the visual storytelling. It’s surprising to note that much of the scenery is either fully built or predominantly created with CGI extensions; the movie does not give the impression of being merely a series of digital backgrounds.
A prime example is a gigantic, multi-ton train that was constructed for the film, showcasing the dedication to crafting a tangible and immersive setting. The campus at Shiz University is vividly brought to life, reinforcing the film’s authenticity.
