Part 1/2:
Recall of Organic Pasture-Raised Eggs at Costco Stores
A significant health alert has recently emerged regarding organic pasture-raised eggs sold at Costco stores across five Southern U.S. states.
Salmonella Contamination Risk
The recall specifically involves nearly 11,000 cartons of 24-count organic eggs, which are packaged under Costco's own Kirkland Signature brand. The concern here is the potential risk of salmonella contamination, a bacterial infection that can pose serious health risks.
Affected Areas and Timeline
These affected eggs were available on the shelves in several states, including Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. They became available starting from November 22nd.
