Wildfire Evacuations and Manhunt Updates
The day began with severe reports from California, where fast-growing wildfires prompted mandatory evacuations in Malibu. Trevor Alt, reporting live, noted wind speeds of up to 76 mph fueled the flames, causing rapid spread and destruction of approximately 850 acres overnight. Residents, especially students at Pepperdine University, were instructed to shelter in place, with local authorities conducting door-to-door evacuations.
