Christine Noem's political journey began from humble beginnings in rural South Dakota, where she was raised on a family farm. Her political career commenced in 2007 as a state representative, which subsequently progressed to her tenure as South Dakota's at-large representative in the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2019, she made history as the state’s first female governor, where she has been noted for her staunch conservative policies, particularly regarding abortion, gender-affirming care, and education.
