Orthodox Christianity posits that humanity is not inherently fallen or unworthy; rather, it is viewed through the lens of divine grace and dignity. This perspective is profound, especially when considering the Feast of the Ascension. As Christ ascends and takes his place on the throne of God, so too does humanity receive affirmation of its exalted status. Consequently, it is consistent with this theology that Mary, too, would be afforded a place of honor, sitting alongside her Son in the heavenly kingdom.
