The monkey mind reflects the chaotic and sometimes frenetic energy of our thoughts. When treated as an enemy or a tyrant, it can lead to increased anxiety and a lack of peace. If we view our monkey mind as a crazy boss, it can become overwhelming and unmanageable. Conversely, attempting to fight against this aspect of ourselves typically leads to further conflict and an ongoing struggle—essentially turning our monkey mind into a perpetual adversary.
