Awareness exists within us at all times, much like a bird flying in the sky unaware of its surroundings or a fish swimming in water without knowledge of their habitat. This state of awareness is characterized by wakefulness, presence, and openness. The challenge is not in the absence of awareness, but rather in our inability to recognize it. It remains available — calm, pure, and always with us.
Connecting with Awareness
The crux of the practice lies in learning how to connect with this awareness. This can be achieved through focusing on an object or even without one; both paths are valid. The essence of awareness is steadfast, inviting us to recognize its ongoing presence and the freedom it offers.
