We kick off our practice by chanting, a technique to enhance the heart chakra's energy. After a few rounds of intentional breathing and chanting, we place our hands over our closed eyelids, feeling the warmth and energy travel, which helps to relax the facial features and improve eyesight.
Once we feel this warmth, we open our eyes and begin our warm-up routines.
Warm-Up Sequence for Flexibility and Breathing
The warm-up centers on spinal mobility and breath. With each inhale, we arch the spine, bringing together the shoulder blades, while with each exhale, we round the spine and tuck the chin into the chest. This rhythm continues through a series of dynamic spinal movements, enhancing overall flexibility.
