However, when blocked, it may lead to emotional detachment, self-hatred, and an inability to express affection. Thus, opening the heart chakra is critical for personal transformation and emotional freedom.
Starting the Practice: Cat-Cow Pose
To begin our journey of opening the heart chakra, we start with a warm-up for the spine using the Cat-Cow pose. Begin on your hands and knees, ensuring that your hands are directly under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. As you inhale deeply, arch your spine and look up, holding the pose for two more breaths.
