Part 1/6:
Strengthening the Heart Chakra: A Yoga Journey
In a recent heart chakra yoga session, participants are guided through a profound exploration of their energetic center. At the core of this practice is an emphasis on achieving balance between strength and softness, inspired by the work of Dr. Brené Brown, author of Braving the Wilderness.
The Concept of a Strong Back and Soft Front
Brown’s philosophy centers around the idea that to have a soft front, which represents vulnerability, one must have a strong back for support. This strong back is often hindered by behaviors labeled as the "four Ps": perfection, proving, pleasing, and pretending. These behaviors can create armor around the heart, making it difficult to express love and acceptance towards oneself and others.
