Part 2/11:
Kundalini Yoga is part of a broader tradition that includes various styles of yoga, with much of today’s popular yoga, such as Ashtanga and Power Yoga, stemming from Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga emphasizes physical postures and breathing techniques, emerging as a distinct practice around the 10th century. Historically, before the advent of Buddhism, Indian religious practices revolved around elaborate rituals aimed at seeking divine blessings. However, several spiritual teachers, like Buddha and ancient Greek philosophers, challenged this notion and advocated for self-development as a means to transcend mere ritualistic practices.
