The Initial Breaths: Deep Inhalation and Exhalation
As is customary in yoga, we began with deep inhalations and slow exhalations. This practice not only sets a calming atmosphere but also primes the body for the exercises ahead. The instructor encouraged us to engage in the Breath of Fire, a rapid and rhythmic breathing pattern designed to energize and detoxify the body.
The Vital Exercises
The first exercise called for our arms to be held at a 60-degree angle, palms flat and eyes closed, for one minute. The Breath of Fire was invoked again, requiring us to maintain straight arms while stimulating different areas of the brain.
