Linking the Schools of Yoga to the Body
In associating these schools with the human body, one can conceptualize them as four quadrants, each aligning to different organs and functions.
Upper Quadrant (Head): Corresponds to Raja Yoga, which governs mental practices.
Middle Quadrant (Heart): Represents the work associated with Karma and Bhakti Yoga, pertaining to love and the dissolution of ego.
Lower Quadrant (Intestinal Region): Aligns with Jnana Yoga, where intuition and gut feelings often manifest.
