Transitioning to a more bodily-focused practice, we perform the Sufi Grind, which stimulates the spine. As you perform this circular movement, allow your breath to correspond with your motions. Leaning forward and rounding back, you awaken the energy centers along the spine—connecting to your physical body and opening up your internal channels.
Switch directions after a minute and feel your body’s energy awaken further.
Elevating Energy with Breath
Next, we shift our focus to the practice of Pranayama, specifically Anulom Vilom or alternate nostril breathing. This technique balances the two sides of the body and activates the energy channels.
