Part 3/7:
Participants united their energies by performing a mantra, “Ong Namo Gurudev,” repeated thrice, before transitioning into energizing warm-up exercises. These movements were designed to activate the body, opening up the spine and preparing for deeper practices.
Moving Through the Energy
To engage participants physically, the session progressed into a sequence of movements that engaged the spine while promoting flexibility and energy flow. This included the Sufi grind, a circular motion around the waist, which facilitated joint relaxation and energy mobilization. With this method, practitioners were encouraged to breathe rhythmically in sync with their movements, promoting a twofold benefit of physical exercise and meditative focus.
