Lying down on their backs, the practice introduces the "Breath of Fire." This energizing breath involves quick, rhythmic inhalation and exhalation that stimulates the body, particularly targeting the upper abdomen. The instructor likens the breath to a “little butterfly,” creating a visual that encourages participants to engage with their breath more playfully.
As the practitioners continue with this exercise, they feel heat generating in the abdominal area, stimulating biorhythms and shaking loose stagnant energy. The Breath of Fire sets the stage for a series of energetic movements which further enliven the participants.
