Following the warm-up, participants move into Downward Facing Dog. Here, the focus is on lengthening the spine, pressing the chest toward the thighs, and achieving a gentle stretch. Walking the legs to deepen the stretch is also encouraged, enhancing hamstring flexibility.

Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation)

The heart of the practice features five rounds of Surya Namaskar, or Sun Salutations, which are essential for building heat and strength.

  1. Each round begins with a deep breath as participants raise their arms overhead.

  2. Moving into a forward fold, participants step back into different lunges and low planks, transitioning through Cobra Pose and back to Downward Facing Dog.
