As participants move onto their hands and knees for the cheekily named Cat-Cow pose, the focus shifts to linking breath with movement. Inhale opens the front of the body while exhale rounds the back, promoting flexibility and activating the nervous system. This dynamic interplay between breath and movement fosters a deeper connection to the body, loosening tight muscles and releasing tension.
Halfway through the sequence, the instructor encourages participants to deepen their breathing and explore the sensations within their bodies. As they engage in this series of movements known as Kriyas, participants begin to feel not only the physical benefits but also an invigorating vitality coursing through their veins, readying them for the day ahead.
