To deepen the practice, we move into the Gate Pose, which focuses on stretching the sides of the body while building core strength. Participants alternate sides to enhance balance and engage in mindful movements.

Instructions:

  1. From a kneeling position, step the right foot out to the side, keeping toes pointed forward.

  2. Raise the left arm overhead and reach over in a side bend.

  3. Transition into a counter stretch with the left hand on the mat and right arm reaching upward.

  4. Engage the core by lifting the right toes for several repetitions, maintaining mindful breathing throughout.

This sequence is mirrored on the left side, ensuring symmetry and balance in the body.
