The first physical activity introduced is the Crow Squats. Participants are encouraged to position their knees over their toes and engage their core as they smoothly transition from a squat to standing and back again. This repetitive movement allows the body to warm up, generating movement and a gentle increase in energy.
After the sequence, Mary invited practitioners to hold the squat position and suspend their breath—a technique aimed at building strength and focus. Following this, she guided the class into a more dynamic practice with ten body drops while seated on the mat. This exercise promotes energy flow, shaking the body to awaken every fiber of being.
