The session begins at the top of the mat, where participants bring their feet together and ground themselves. A deep inhale is encouraged, followed by an exhale that promotes relaxation in the shoulders and chest. Participants are guided to tuck the hips and engage the core while raising their arms overhead, opening up the abdomen and armpits. The first forward fold, or Uttanasana, is performed, allowing for slight bending of the knees to accommodate flexibility levels.
