As we reach pigeon pose, Cassandra encourages participants to utilize breath to release tension in the right hip. Setting the right knee behind the right hand allows for alignment and greater openness, with the option to fold forward, further deepening the stretch. This phase invites mindfulness as participants focus on breathing into the stretch and releasing any build-up of tension.
Similar movements are repeated on the left side, reinforcing muscle memory and balance between both sides of the body. Emphasis is placed throughout on the absence of judgment and the importance of caring for oneself through gentle movement.
