Building upon this awareness, attention shifts to the feet, where participants engage in simple movements like pressing into their heels and pointing their toes, taking care to notice the ripple effect these actions have through their bodies. This approach extends to the hands and wrists, promoting an integrated awakening of the upper body.
Marrying Breath with Movement
Once the body feels more awake, the practice transitions to integrating breath with movement. Participants are guided to inhale deeply while raising their arms overhead, stretching their whole bodies, and then exhaling to let their arms float back down. This sequence is repeated, instilling an uplifting energy that supports a graceful start to the day.
