With a deep exhale, tuck your toes and press up into downward dog. Here, feel free to walk out your feet, bending one knee and then the other, or rocking side to side. Make sure to press the mat away, engaging your core and allowing your head to hang heavy. Generate ample space for your body by adjusting your feet as needed.
Finding Ground: Child's Pose
Lower your knees, bringing your hips towards your heels to transition into child's pose. You can customize this pose by placing pillows underneath your hips or torso for added support. As you settle here, focus on breathing into your chest and belly, feeling the tightness in your lower back dissociate with each exhale.
