As the session begins, practitioners are invited to adopt an open-legged child's pose placed at the back of the mat. This position lays the foundation for a mindful connection with breath and body. A few deep breaths help still the mind, inviting in peace and tranquility. The instructor encourages a continuous flow between movements, a wave-like motion transitioning through cat and cow poses. This warming up period serves to activate the spinal cord and prep the body for more intensive stretches.
