Following the neck and wrist warm-up, the practice evolves into a "tabletop" position with all fours. Here, Travis introduces the "thread the needle" pose, an effective stretch for the shoulders. The right arm reaches skyward, before it weaves beneath the left arm, allowing the shoulder to relax down towards the mat. Encouraging participants to slide the left hand forward for a deeper stretch, Travis emphasizes the importance of listening to the body and allowing for a gentle release.
Each pose is accompanied by mindful breathing, reinforcing the connection between movement and breath. This alignment allows for a deeper experience of each stretch as participants explore their body’s limits gently.
