This means that OpenAI can now approach Microsoft needing additional cloud resources, but if Microsoft cannot meet the demand, OpenAI is permitted to seek alternatives—including Oracle's cloud services. This change not only broadens the horizon for OpenAI to turn to other hyperscalers like Google and Amazon but also signals a strategic shift in how cloud services are managed within the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
