Next, the class moved into the Cobra Pose, or Bhujangasana, where participants lay face down, placing their hands beside their shoulders. As they inhaled, they gently lifted their chest, feeling a mild compression in the lower back. The practice then progressed into Downward Facing Dog, an iconic position that allows for a deep stretch of the entire back body while also encouraging circulation. Here, students were encouraged to pedal their knees and create space in their hamstrings, ultimately inviting a sense of rejuvenation.
