Afterwards, Afan traveled approximately 20 kilometers to his grandmother's residence where he committed another brutal murder, similarly attacking her on the head. The violence escalated as he proceeded to his uncle's house, where he similarly assaulted his uncle and his wife.
His reign of terror did not stop there; in a calculated move, Afan called his lover to their home, luring her under false pretenses. Once she arrived and settled into a chair on the first floor, he viciously attacked her, leaving her lifeless in that position.
