The air is then directed past a custom-wound heater, which raises the air temperature slightly above room temperature. This consistent heating ensures a stable input temperature as the air flows through the unit.
Advanced Temperature Sensing
Key to the calorimeter's performance is a long resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensor, measuring an impressive 150 feet in length. Unlike standard RTD sensors, which are typically small, the increased length of this sensor allows for a more comprehensive reading of the air's temperature throughout its flow path.
