In the demonstration, two individuals, Puu from Tibet and Kim from Vietnam, each held a Tibetan singing bowl. Their backgrounds in Buddhist cultures add further depth to the symbolism and usage of these bowls. The purpose was to demonstrate how these seemingly silent objects can resonate when provided with the right form of stimulation.
Kim, who is expecting her first child, provided the initial method of stimulation by delivering a strong physical shock to the bowl. This quick jolt allowed the bowl to sing at its natural resonant frequency, effectively dissipating the energy absorbed from the force.
